Dry ginger powder is also known as Soonth powder, Saunth powder, etc.  This comes from fresh ginger and is dried before being used. It is a fine white powder that has a strong aroma and spicy taste. This is mostly easy to store and has a long duration of one year.

Dry Ginger Powder Benefits

Culinary uses:

Toner:

Boil two tablespoons of dry ginger powder in 4 cups of water. Reduce this until it becomes medium. Paste and cool; now add a few drops of lavender oil or rosemary. Mix all these ingredients well and store in a glass jar. Refrigerate this toner and apply with cotton on the face. This protects the skin, eliminates impurities, moisturizes, reduces dryness and invigorates it.

Irritation of the stomach:

Dry ginger powder along with sugar cane juice is used to treat irritation of the stomach. Consume this mixture every day early in the morning to get relief from stomach irritation.

Headache:

The most common headache problem can be cured by applying the powder paste on the forehead. This therapy is used to treat headaches. You can also apply the paste over the throat to relieve sore throat.

Chest pain:

Chest pain can be treated with dried ginger powder. Mix dry ginger powder and sugar in tender coconut water. Drink to treat chest pain.

Ginger powder contains thermogenic agents that are useful for burning fat and treating obesity. Take this powder to increase the rate of metabolism that burns fat stored in the body. This is also useful for lowering cholesterol and triglyceride levels in the body.

Weight loss:

Ginger tea is the best remedy for weight loss. Add ½ teaspoon dried ginger powder to a cup of hot water. Dissolve this correctly and drink it every day to lose weight. This tea can be sweetened with honey if necessary.

Mix dry ginger powder, a pinch of asafoetida and black salt in warm water to eliminate flatulence.
